Financial Institutions Declares Quarterly Cash Dividend of $0.15


WARSAW, N.Y., Aug. 21, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Financial Institutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:FISI) announced that its board of directors declared a third quarter cash dividend of $0.15 per common share. This is consistent with the previous quarter dividend and $0.03 or 25% higher than the year-ago quarterly dividend. The Company also announced dividends of $0.75 per share on the Series A 3% Preferred Stock and $2.12 per share on the Series B-1 8.48% Preferred Stock. All dividends are payable on October 1, 2008 to shareholders of record on September 15, 2008.
