New CEO at BioMar
BioMar, the world's third-largest manufacturer of quality feed for the fish
farming industry, is making management changes. Torben Svejgård, 53, who
has extensive leadership experience, also from 17 years with Danisco, has
been named new CEO of BioMar, a company based in Aarhus, Denmark.
Torben Svejgård, 53, formerly CEO for Danisco Texturants & Sweeteners, has
been named CEO of BioMar effective from November 1. Mr Svejgård will start at
BioMar on September 1. Until taking over the BioMar helm, he will work closely
with the current CEO, Nils Agnar Brunborg, who will be leaving at the end of
October to seek new challenges in his native country of Norway.
With Torben Svejgård, BioMar gets a highly experienced and resourceful manager
with a global outlook who brings with him 25 years of working with B2B
businesses. From his previous jobs, Mr Svejgård has an in-depth knowledge of
ingredients and raw materials, as well as know-how from his time as an executive
with an international business. These characteristics are important in
developing BioMar and achieving the company's strategy for global growth in a
highly competitive market.
