Advanced Inflight Alliance AG announces preliminary half-year figures:
- Continued sales and earnings growth
Munich, Germany, 22 August 2008 Advanced Inflight Alliance AG (ISIN
DE0001262186, German SIN (WKN) 126218, domiciled at: Schellingstr. 35,
D-80799 Munich) today announced significant growth in both sales and
earnings for the first six months of 2008.
The Advanced Inflight Alliance Group posted sales of EUR 50.3 million in
the first six months of 2008, up from EUR 42.2 million the previous half
year. The increase is due to the first-time consolidation of the Group's
new subsidiary DTI Software Inc., Montreal, Canada, as well as the
establishment of business relations with a major US airline on 1st February
2008.
EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) in
the reporting period was EUR 5,064 thousand (previous half year: EUR 3,009
thousand), reflecting in particular the latest acquisition's positive
impact on earnings. Comparison with the previous year is possible only to a
limited extent since the company as of the 2008 financial year is including
net finance income and not just interest expense in calculating its EBITDA.
Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) in the first half of 2008
totalled EUR 3,633 thousand (previous half year: EUR 1,479 thousand). EBIT
comparison with the previous year also is limited due to the reasons stated
above.
Net profit for the first six months of 2008 increased to EUR 2,574 thousand
(previous half year: EUR 939 thousand) in spite of a higher tax rate.
Earnings per share as of June 30, 2008, were EUR 0.16, up from EUR 0.06 the
previous half year.
