The Deutsche REIT AG (ISIN DE0005577001) continued its successful
performance in the first half of the 2008 financial year. Earnings before
taxes could be more than doubled from EUR 2.0 mill. in the previous year to
approx. EUR 4.5 mill. despite remarkably increased capital costs. No
earnings are due to a write-up according to IAS 40.

Consolidated earnings could more than triple to EUR 2.9 mill in the first
half year 2008. The figure of the previous period was short under EUR 1.0
mill. Earnings per share (fully diluted) were EUR 0.39 already. The
turnover was EUR 24.8 mill. and below the figure of EUR 33.0 mill. of the
previous period due to the timely structuring of portfolio transaction
under the current financial year. The Board of Management assumes that all
the figures referring to profitability will be increased considerably in
the second half of the financial year.
