Total Voting Rights announcement according to Article 26a of the WpHG

UBS AG hereby announces that at the end of the month of August 2008
2'932'574’213 registered shares are fully paid-in and that the number of
voting rights pursuant to article 26a WpHG amounts to 2'932'574’213 voting
rights.

For the calculation of the thresholds set forth in articles 21 et seq.
WpHG, the above mentioned number of shares applies.

For the calculation of the voting right thresholds under Swiss law the
number of shares published in the commercial register of the cantons Basel
and Zurich (which equates to the number of voting rights) applies (Art. 10
