++ Themis Equity Partners’ future focus on restructuring
++ Company changes name to TIG Themis Industries Group and appoints
Christoph D. Kauter as Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
++ Extraordinary General Meeting approves change in name, capital decrease
   and share buy-back

Publicly-listed Themis Equity Partners (ISIN: DE0007857575) will in future
– under the name of TIG Themis Industries Group ('TIG') – focus on indirect
and direct investments in the restructuring of small and medium-sized
companies in turnaround or special situations. The geographical focus will
be Europe.

In order to implement its new strategy, TIG will work with established
local restructuring teams. Initial alliances have already been formed with
renowned restructuring experts Verdoso (France), Endless (UK) and CFC
(Germany). The former broadly diversified Themis fund of funds portfolio of
international private equity funds will be gradually divested with the
exception of funds that already focus on restructuring situations.

Shareholders welcomed the new strategy and approved the change in name at
yesterday’s extraordinary General Meeting held in Frankfurt/ Main. The
shareholders also approved an ordinary capital decrease of 10:1 and
authorised the Management to purchase company shares under a share buy-back
programme.

Furthermore, the extraordinary General Meeting approved a change in the
managing general partner. Themis Management GmbH will replace Sigma Capital
Management GmbH, the former general partner. The Managing Director of
Themis Management GmbH and therefore the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
of TIG is Christoph D. Kauter (31). Mr. Kauter will be responsible for
Strategy, Investments, Financing and Investor Relations. In the last ten
years he has accumulated valuable experience in corporate finance and
capital markets while working for e.g. Deutsche Bank, Dresdner Kleinwort
Wasserstein and Man Group plc. His most recent position was a two-year
stint with Colonia Real Estate, a private equity property investor, as an
authorised company officer responsible for Corporate Finance and Investor
Relations.

The resolutions to be presented to and decided upon by the extraordinary
General Meeting were announced in the ad-hoc release dated 24 July 2008.
Individual shareholders had their objections to the resolutions passed at
the extraordinary General Meeting recorded in the protocol.

With regard to TIG’s new strategy and his appointment as CEO Mr. Kauter
said: 'The private equity market for special situations is highly rewarding
for investors. Key success factors are a strong network, in-depth
management know-how and success-focused employees. The underlying success
factor in this highly non-transparent and inefficient market segment is
access to attractive investment possibilities, which is why exceptional
returns are often earned by teams focusing on a specific region or sector.
By combining the operational and local expertise of our partners and the
financial strength of listed TIG, it will be possible to turn companies in
need of restructuring into highly profitable ones within a short time. I am
firmly convinced that with this strategy we can build a high-yielding,
pan-European portfolio of promising medium-sized companies in the coming
years.'
