ASPO Plc STOCK EXCHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT September 8, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. Aspo Plc will sell the Finnish tape business of the Kaukomarkkinat unit to Oy Telpak Ab. Oy Telpak Ab is owned by Ralf Klärich and Styrbjörn Sumelius. The deal will result in a sales gain of approximately EUR 0.2 million, which will be recorded for the third quarter upon completion of the change of ownership. On the basis of the investigation, it was decided that the Kaukomarkkinat brand and its strong clients, such as Panasonic, make it possible to continue and develop the business as part of Aspo's corporate strategy. In professional and industrial electronics, Panasonic is the market leader in the rapidly growing air source heat pump market, among others. Jari-Pekka Lehmuskoski has been appointed as Director of the business. Kaukomarkkinat will now focus on business-to-business sales and represents the leading brands in Finland.
