Verimatrix Raises Additional Series C Funding From SunAmerica Ventures

Significant Resources From Fortune 50 Investors Enhance Growth Plans


SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - September 8, 2008) - Verimatrix, setting the standard in content security technologies that enhance the value of pay-TV networks, today announced SunAmerica Ventures, part of the American International Group, Inc. (AIG), has joined the investor group in its recently announced Series C round of funding led by Goldman Sachs. The additional capital and expertise will accelerate the deployment of Verimatrix's 3-Dimensional Content Security solutions into the rapidly-evolving digital video market. New generations of solutions are being developed from Verimatrix's core Video Content Authority System ( VCAS™), the global number one IPTV content protection solution.

SunAmerica Ventures focuses primarily on software and services, semiconductors and components, and system companies of any stage. SunAmerica Ventures participated in this final funding round to benefit from Verimatrix's leadership position and growing product portfolio. The participation of SunAmerica Ventures in the Series C round brings another Fortune 50 company into the Verimatrix investor group.
