What: NASDAQ OMX has asked the trading community to refrain from trading for a moment of silence between 10:29 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. (representing the fall of the North Tower) on Thursday September 11th 2008 to remember those who lost their lives on this tragic day. A commemorative message will be broadcast on the NASDAQ Tower from 10:29 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. during our moment of silence and throughout the day. Furthermore, representatives from the September 11th Families' Association and Tribute WTC Visitor Center will preside over the opening bell and representatives from USS New York Commissioning Committee will preside over the closing bell in commemoration of September 11th.
