SASKATOON, Saskatchewan, Sept. 12, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- We've all heard the refrain, "An apple a day, keeps the doctor away." In the charming picture book I Like Apples by Marie Lyon, meet lovable animal characters, including a cow with a taste for crunchy and delicious apples.

A children's book for 3 to 6-year-olds, I Like Apples is illustrated in bright colors in coloring-book mode, with text pages introducing small sketches that will stimulate the child's curiosity, to make them observe and ask questions. It is full of delightful pictures showing happy outdoor scenes and lovable animals like cats, cows, and furry creatures like mice. It will help your children develop their creativity, imagination, as well as help develop a love for nature and all creatures great and small.

The engaging illustrations were done on a MacIntosh Apple computer in Adobe Photoshop Elements with a mouse - though not the furry kind.
