series of next generation multi-service switches.

The Nimbra 688 platform is based on the Nimbra 600 series, the first
high-capacity MSPP on the market with sub Mbps switching granularity
for all services. Nimbra 688 is the optimum building block in metro
core and backbone optical networks as it offers a 320 Gbps backplane
combined with a state-of-the-art switching architecture for a
powerful transport switching solution. The next-generation switch

The Nimbra 688 provides several network management options. Element
management is supported through a comprehensive Web GUI as well as
CLI. A standard SNMP interface is available for connection to the
Nimbra Vision NMS or 3rd party management systems.
