ANNOUNCEMENT OF CONVEYANCE OF OWN SHARES                                        

Raisio plc has conveyed its own shares in two batches in the spring of 2008     
without making an announcement of these conveyances immediately after they took 
place.                                                                          

Raisio plc has conveyed a total of 40,000 free shares on 18 February 2008 (other
conveyance) EUR 1.573 per share, total price EUR 62,920, and a total of 32,000  
free shares on 31 March 2008 (other conveyance), EUR 1.430 per share, total     
price EUR 45,760.                                                               

Taking into account the above-specified conveyances as well as the purchases    
dated 16 September 2008, the company holds a total of 179,203 restricted shares 
(RAIKV) and 8,251,400 free shares (RAIVV).
