Digia Plc Press Release 17 September 2008 Digia to renew Finnish Civil Aviation Authority's IT systems Digia will renew the operative IT systems of the Finnish Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). This project is integrated with the comprehensive modernisation of the CAA's application and server infrastructure, a multi-annual venture with the goal of improving the operation of the authority and enhancing aviation safety. The first stage of Digia's delivery will include solutions for various applications, among them the customer contacts database (CRM) and the aircraft register as well as theory exam and licence systems. The objective is to offer an integrated system and to develop, in particular, electronic stakeholder services and management systems. The solutions will be implemented using the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server technology. The delivery agreement is based on Hansel Ltd's framework for technical IT consultancy services for the state administration. "The systems at the core of the CAA's operations must correspond to the customers' needs and support the CAA's processes.
