Continental Prison Systems Successfully Installs Kiosks in Colorado

FRESNO, Calif., Sept. 18, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Continental Prison Systems, Inc. (Pink Sheets:CPSZ), a leader in Prison kiosk technology that streamlines the inmate release process and a growing provider of the cost reducing process for loading funds onto an inmate's account over the internet or through a kiosk announced today that the EZ kiosk division of Continental Prison Systems, Inc. has successfully completed the installation of two kiosks, the debit card program and both online money services systems as of Aug 28th.

Ron Hodge, President and CEO of Continental Prison Systems, Inc. stated, "Our first installations are complete and kiosk transactions have exceeded our expectations and are functioning extremely well. The booking room and visiting room kiosks have been warmly received by both staff and consumers. The simplicity and ease of loading funds through the kiosk has been a welcome addition to the facility. The facility has been issuing debit cards with the inmates' remaining trust funds for about two weeks and the inmates have welcomed the change to a debit card system versus a check with its related high check cashing fees. Furthermore, the elimination of check writing has been a needed change for the facility, allowing for less overhead and more efficient processing of inmates."

Both the online money loading functions (for bail and trust funds) have operated extremely well and the transactions are streaming in. The facility is able to book and release an inmate with much greater efficiency as a result of all the services provided by CPSZ. Revenues will meet or exceed our previous projection of $300,000 over the life of the multi-year contract.
