Release of a Voting Rights announcement

On September 18, 2008 pursuant to section 21 (1) WpHG we were notified by
SMALLCAP World Fund, Inc., Los Angeles, California, USA that the stake of
SMALLCAP World Fund, Inc. in the voting rights in BayWa AG, Munich, Germany
fell below the threshold of 5 % on September 12, 2008. On that date,
SMALLCAP World Fund, Inc. held 4.78 % in relation to all voting rights in
BayWa AG (voting rights arising from 1,621,098 ordinary shares
(Stammaktien)). BayWa AG has issued ordinary shares only.
