The Wounded Warrior Project recognizes the incredible sacrifices these soldiers have made and this event is meant to raise public awareness and support for wounded veterans and their families. All donations go to support the programs and services of the Wounded Warrior Project, which provides comfort and aid, counseling, rehabilitation and family assistance to the wounded during their hospital recovery and readjustment to civilian life.

U-Haul will be welcoming and honoring special guests, including Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon, representatives from the Wounded Warrior Project, the United War Veterans Council and local dignitaries. Members of the United We Sing Troop (formerly the USO Girls of Metropolitan NY) will be performing at the event, and information will be provided on how Americans can help support these soldiers who have given so selflessly to our country.

"U-Haul's unwavering commitment to our wounded warriors is inspirational and we cannot thank the enough," said John Melia, WWP Executive Director. "Their on-going support of our Soldier Ride program, as well as their support for other Wounded Warrior Project initiatives, is a sterling example of the role that corporate America can play in the rehabilitation and transition of our nation's severely wounded heroes."

"U-Haul is honored to salute these heroes who have given life and limb to defend our freedom," stated Joe Shoen, chairman and CEO, U-Haul International, Inc. "These young people have sacrificed so much in duty to their country and yet they are still willing to give even more to support those who are still serving and continue to serve. Soldier Ride is just one of the ways in which U-Haul is able to thank our veterans for their service, and we are thrilled to be able to do this."
