On September 18, 2008, the stake of SMALLCAP World Fund, Inc., in the
voting rights in Praktiker Bau- und Heimwerkermärkte Holding AG, Kirkel,
Germany, ISIN: DE000A0F6MD5, WKN: A0F6MD, fell below the threshold of 5 %.
On that date the voting rights represent 4.08 % (this corresponds to
2,368,702 voting rights).

Furthermore on September 24, 2008, we were informed pursuant to sec. 21
para. 1 of the German Securities Trading Act ('WpHG') on behalf of Capital
Research and Management Company, Los Angeles, USA:

On September 19, 2008, the stake of Capital Research and Management Company
in the voting rights in Praktiker Bau- und Heimwerkermärkte Holding AG,
Kirkel, Germany, ISIN: DE000A0F6MD5, WKN: A0F6MD, fell below the threshold
of 5 %. On that date the voting rights represent 4.80 % (this corresponds
to 2,786,252 voting rights).

4.80 % (this corresponds to 2,786,252 voting rights) of all voting rights
were attributed to Capital Research and Management Company pursuant to sec.
22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 6 WpHG. Of those voting rights 3,69 % of the voting
