Infrastructure and Systems Divisions to merge
ÅF's Infrastructure and Systems Divisions are to merge to form one of
Europe's biggest players in the market for infrastructure consulting
services. After integration, the new division, which will be known as
the Infrastructure Division, will have more than 1,500 employees. The
main focus will be on the fields of Telecommunications,
Infrastructure Planning and Installations - areas where recent years
have seen an ever greater need for closer liaison with clients. The
merger is expected to lead to synergies in both revenues and costs.

The new divisional president will be Johan Olsson, formerly president
of the Systems Division. In little more than three years with ÅF,
Johan Olsson has demonstrated exemplary leadership with a firm focus
on profitability coupled with high organic growth. In connection with
the impending merger Åke Rosenius will be leaving ÅF and his current
position as president of the Infrastructure Division.

Engineering Division reinforced with a further 250 employees
To meet customer needs and derive optimum benefit from the synergetic
potential 80 consultants specialising in electrical power systems
will transfer from the Infrastructure Division to the Engineering
Division. At the same time ÅF's expertise in the fields of pulp &
paper and food technology & pharmaceuticals will also be concentrated
in the Engineering Division with the addition of 170 consultants from
the Process Division. The Engineering Division is Northern Europe's
leading name in industrial consulting activities and this
reorganisation will further strengthen its offer to the process
industries.

Process Division pursues its strategy to become a specialist energy
consultant and changes its name
Following the changes outlined above, the Process Division will
become a specialist energy consulting organisation with ongoing
projects in 40 countries. As a logical consequence, the Process
Division will change its name to Energy.

All changes will take effect on 1 October 2008.
ÅFs divisions will then be: Energy, Engineering, Infrastructure and
Inspection.

ÅF is a leader in technical consulting, with expertise founded on
more than a century of experience.
We offer highly qualified services and solutions for industrial
processes, infrastructure projects and the development of products
and IT systems. We are also a leading name in testing and inspection.
Today ÅF has more than 4,000 employees. Our base is in Europe, but
our business and our clients are found all over the world.
