In the framework of its annual award ceremony for the best annual reports
of the most important German stock corporations ‘manager magazin’ awarded
second place to SolarWorld AG among all TecDAX companies. The jury under
the scientific guidance of Professor Jörg Baetge of the University of
Münster examined the reports of the major German companies under the
criteria of content, design and language. The magazine carried an extensive
article about this in its edition of 26 September 2008.

'We are proud of this award', said a delighted Philipp Koecke, CFO of
SolarWorld AG. 'We see this as confirmation of our approach of reporting
openly and understandably about our group of companies. We have always
adhered to this principle even though the enormous growth of the last few
years again and again confronted our communications efforts with new
challenges. For us sustainability and transparency are part and parcel of a
strategic concept that is reflected in the communications with our
shareholders and the interested public.' The group is also happy about the
fact that the vote of the jury for the SolarWorld AG annual report was
again improved this year after a third place last year and a seventh place
the year before.
