Experience a Western Adventure in Post Civil War America--New Book Follows the Exploits of a Civil War Survivor Who Tries to Find the "Promised Land" in the West

KIMBALL, Neb., Sept. 29, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Finding happiness, satisfaction and love is often a daunting task, no matter how hard we try. This is the theme that readers are about to learn through an unforgettable adventure imagined by Stan Pearson with the release of his new book Bound Away.

Bound Away follows the exploits of Sgt. Jack Barlow, a survivor of the Civil War. The story begins when he discovers that his homecoming from the war is not all that he'd hoped for. The family farm is in ruin and his father has been declared an invalid. After much hard work and the eventual return of his brother, Jack decides that farming life is not really meant for him. Spurred on by a lost love, he sets out for the West hoping to find the "promised land" he kept hearing about. He is not alone, however, as many others joined him on a quest looking for something that they don't know about. Will Jack be able to find happiness and prosperity in the West or will he end up with disappointment? Read the book to find out.

Bound Away will be featured at the American Library Association Annual show on Anaheim, CA, slated for June 28 to July 1, 2008.
