The JSC “Liepājas metalurgs” tehnological equipment repair campaign optimization

The production operations of Joint Stock Company “Liepajas Metalurgs” are based
on a non-stop (continuously-running) working schedule. Major repairs of the
equipment are performed once a year on a scheduled basis. The duration required
for such major repairs depends on the scope of relevant work and, therefore
varies in time. 
In order to optimize the major repair campaign the Board of JSC “Liepajas
Metalurgs” has de-cided to introduce a temporary working schedule entailing
five-day working week with two off-days (holidays) in its rolling shops in
October 2008. Such modification of the working schedule will facilitate better
utilization of the company's resources improving the overall performance of the
Company
