Claim against the officials of JSC Ventspils nafta left without adjudicating

The Civil Case Court Board of the Riga Regional Court issued a ruling on
October 2, 2008 to leave without adjudicating the claim pursued by JSC Latvijas
naftas tranzīts against the officials of the Management Board and Supervisory
Council of JSC Ventspils nafta on recovery of USD 90 million losses attempted
to be maintained on behalf of JSC Ventspils nafta. 
JSC Ventspils nafta holds a view that this claim was initiated using methods of
unfair competition, as the plaintiff sought to compensate business failure of a
particular company at the port of Ventspils by affecting the successful work
JSC Ventspils nafta Group company Ventspils nafta termināls Ltd.
