Saab welcomes legal process

Formal charges were brought today against the consultant who abused his access
to confidential documents at Saab Microwave Systems in Gothenburg.

“We view this incident very seriously and consider it positive that the case has
come to trial so soon,” says Cecilia Schön Jansson, Group Senior Vice President,
Communications for Saab. “We have been cooperating closely and actively with the
security services and the prosecutor.”

The individual who has now been charged underwent a security assessment that
included a register check with the security services, prior to appointment as a
consultant at Saab. Everyone working at Saab undergoes a security assessment,
the extent of which is based on the relevant position.

When the incident was discovered, Saab immediately contacted the security
services and the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) in accordance
with the established security protocols. Since then, Saab has actively
cooperated with the Police and prosecutor in their investigation.
