Northrop Grumman's Safety Program Wins Recognition From OSHA


NORWALK, Conn., Oct. 7, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE:NOC) Norden Systems business unit today was awarded the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) prestigious STAR award certification in recognition of the company's exemplary occupational safety and health program.

The STAR award represents one of the highest levels of recognition available through OSHA's Voluntary Protection Program.

The Voluntary Protection Program recognizes and partners with businesses and worksites that demonstrate excellence in occupational safety and health. The STAR Program is designed for exemplary worksites with comprehensive, successful safety and health management systems that provide effective employee protection beyond the requirements of OSHA standards.
