notification dated 10 October August 2008 pursuant to Sections 21
paragraphs 1, 24, German Securities Trading Act that the voting interest of
its subsidiary, Salzgitter Mannesmann GmbH, Salzgitter, Germany, in
Norddeutsche Affinerie AG, Hamburg, Germany (ISIN: DE0006766504, WKN:
676650), had exceeded the 20 % thresholds on 9 October 2008 and now amount
to 20.001 % (representing 8,173,987 voting rights).
Salzgitter Aktiengesellschaft, Salzgitter, Germany, informed us in its
notification dated 10 October 2008 pursuant to Section § 21 paragraph 1,
German Securities Trading Act that its voting interest in Norddeutsche
Affinerie AG, Hamburg, Germany (ISIN: DE0006766504, WKN: 676650), had
exceed the 20 % thresholds on 9 October 2008 and now amount to 20.001 %
(representing 8,173,987 voting rights). 20.001 % of the voting rights
(representing 8,173,987 voting rights) are allocated to Salzgitter
Aktiengesellschaft by Salzgitter Mannesmann GmbH, in accordance with
Section 22 paragraph 1 sentence 1 no. 1, German Securities Trading Act.
No voting rights are held directly by Salzgitter Aktiengesellschaft.
