A Woman in War -- The True Story of An American Woman's Odyssey in World War II

ATLANTA, Oct. 13, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Author K.F. Ritter shares the empowering true story of her mother in this riveting memoir that brings to life human drama, romance, and redemption, woven through the gripping events of World War II. Follow this unforgettable odyssey of one extraordinary woman - the author's mother, Aurora Ritter.

Aurora Ritter is a courageous, young Alabama teacher who, during the turbulent era of World War II, discovers her husband is a German spy against America. In this sterling work, Ritter's vivid storytelling and impressive resurrection of the gun-smoke filled landscape of World War II brims throughout the pages as she chronicles Aurora's ten-year struggle in Germany during W.W.II. As the wife of a German military officer, Aurora endures some of the most harrowing experiences known to man: the Gestapo abducts her children, her home is incinerated by bombs, and every day is a struggle for survival. With sheer determination and faith, she overcomes every obstacle thrown her way. A compelling tale, which boasts the epic sweep of a Hollywood period piece, it is laced with personal epigraphs, authentic pictures, letters, and documents.

This enthralling tale, with testimonies of courage and strength beyond comprehension, is at once a true life history of a family's survival in a foreign country under siege and a fascinating historical account -- replete with supporting documentation -- that records the sequence of a compelling war classic.
