Lysaker, 15 October 2008 Nord Pool has received the following information from the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE): Lower prices in Norway The average spot price decreased in all Norwegian elspot areas from week 40 to week 41. The decrease was biggest in Middle Norway, where the price fell 3.5 øre to 56.8 øre/kWh. In Northern and Southern Norway the price decreased by 2.5 and 2.6 øre to 52.7 and 50.4 øre/kWh respectively. The prices also decreased in Sweden, Finland and Denmark in week 41. High inflow levels last week contributed to the price decrease in Norway.
