PHOENIX, Oct. 16, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- U-Haul recently announced the promotion of Doug McIntier to District 1 Area District Vice President (ADVP). McIntier brings his proven leadership skills and management experience to his new position, where he will be responsible for overseeing U-Haul operations in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana.

McIntier began his U-Haul career in April 1986 as a dispatching and receiving (D&R) technician for the Idaho Falls U-Haul Center. He remained there for four years, and also held the position of sales and service representative. In June 1989, he was promoted to general manager (GM) of the 15th Avenue U-Haul Center in Seattle, Washington. From 1989 to 1992, Doug oversaw operations for various centers, including the Bozeman U-Haul Center in Bozeman, Mont. In May 1992, Doug transferred to the U-Haul Company of Idaho and held the positions of area field manager (AFM) and senior staff member. In April 1996, Doug was promoted to president of U-Haul Company of Idaho, the position in which he has served for more than 12 years.
