EL DORADO HILLS, CA--(Marketwire - October 21, 2008) - The inaugural Habitat for Humanity
Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament and fundraiser will take place at the El
Dorado Hills Community Center in El Dorado Hills located on Harvard Way, on
Saturday, 1 November, at 6 p.m. The charity event is open to the public and
will include a raffle, music, entertainment, a silent auction, gourmet food
prepared by local restaurants, no-host cocktails, and black jack. Raffle
prizes include 18 additional poker tables.
The cost to participate in the celebrity poker tournament is $75 (price
includes admission). General admission is $25. Guests and tournament
participants may register at the venue on the day of the event, or

A related online auction will begin on Saturday, 25 October, on eBay, and
will conclude on the day of the event. Items for bid will include two-hour
training sessions donated by 2007 World Series of Poker (WSOP) main event
champion Jerry Yang, World Poker Tour (WPT) & WSOP bracelet winner J.C.
Tran, WSOP bracelet winner and WPT's first lady of poker Linda Johnson, WPT
champion JJ Liu, and WPT Ladies Poker Party champion Kelli Griggs.
Additional prizes and online auction items will be provided by The World

Habitat for Humanity hopes to raise at least $40,000 through this effort in
order to defer El Dorado County Building Project costs. The first-ever
multiple dwelling area will be located on approximately six acres near El
Dorado and allow low-income future homeowners who invest 300-500 hours of
"sweat equity" towards their own or another's home to qualify for
