Lysaker, 23 October 2008 Nord Pool launched CfD SYGER (spread German base load - Nord Pool base load) in 2005 to meet our customers need to hedge basis risk between the German and Nordic market areas. On 11 January 2008, Nord Pool launched German power contracts which have removed the need for CfD SYGER. As there is no open interest on SYGER products with delivery from January 2009, Nord Pool will delist the following contracts: SYGERYR-09, SYGERQ1-09, SYGERQ2-09 and SYGERQ3-09 with immediate effect. Further we will not list any new CfD SYGER contracts. The CfD SYGER contracts with delivery in 2008 (SYGERNOV-08 and SYGERDEC-08) will go to delivery as there is open interest in these products.
