Release of a Voting Rights announcement

In accordance with sec. 21 sub-section 1 of the WpHG we have received the
following notification from Morgan Stanley, Wilmington, Delaware, USA, on
its own behalf and on behalf of such further subsidiaries as mentioned
below:
1. MSDW Equity Finance Services (I) Cayman Ltd, George Town, Grand Cayman,
Cayman Islands on 14 October 2008, has fallen below the threshold of 3% of
the voting rights of Roth & Rau AG, Hohenstein-Ernstthal, Germany and on
that day holds 1.29% of the voting rights (= 177,600 shares, each carrying
one voting right); and
2. The holding entity of MSDW Equity Finance Services I (Cayman) Ltd, MSDW
Offshore Equity Services Inc., Wilmington, Delaware, USA, on 14 October
2008, has also fallen below the threshold of 3% of the voting rights of
Roth & Rau AG, Hohenstein-Ernstthal, Germany, and on that day holds 1.29%
(= 177,600 shares each carrying one voting right) whereby the
aforementioned voting rights have to be attributed pursuant to Section 22
para 1 sent. 1 No. 1 German Securities Trading Act.
3. The holding parent entity Morgan Stanley, Wilmington, Delaware, USA, on
14 October 2008, has also fallen below the threshold of 3% of the voting
rights of Roth & Rau AG, Hohenstein-Ernstthal, Germany, and on that day
holds 1.29% (= 177,600 shares, each carrying one voting right) whereby
these 1.29% (= 177,600 shares, each carrying one voting right) of the
voting rights of Roth & Rau AG have to be attributed according to Section
22 para. 1 sent 1 No. 1 German Securities Trading Act.
4. This chain of entities is represented as follows (starting on the
highest level): Morgan Stanley (Delaware), MSDW Offshore Equity Services
Inc., MSDW Equity Finance Services I (Cayman) Ltd.
