As of October 22, 2008, a member of the board and the Managing Director of Latvia's biggest enterprise - IT wholesale distributor ELKO Group - Jānis Abāšins has resigned from his position due to personal reasons. The position previously held by Jānis Abāšins has been taken over by his predecessor, Jānis Casno. Mr. Casno has more than 10 years of experience with the ELKO Group. From the period of 2002 to 2007, Jānis Casno was a member of the board and held the position of Executive Director. Previously he had held the position of IT Department Director and Deputy Financial Officer. Jānis Casno holds a MBA degree in Economics from the University of Latvia.
