Consumer Health Sciences Launches the National Health and Wellness Survey Database in Japan

PRINCETON, N.J., Oct. 28, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Consumer Health Sciences, a leading international provider of comprehensive consumer health information, announces the expansion of the National Health and Wellness Survey (NHWS) database into Japan.

"Launching in Japan provides clients for the first time the capability to accurately size over 100 therapeutic markets, profile patients and create Institutional Review Board (IRB) approved publications using the National Health and Wellness Survey database" said Mike Kelly, CEO of Consumer Health Sciences. "NHWS Japan expands our analytical capabilities to include both Japan centric and cross-cultural analyses using measures that can only be accurately established from the patients themselves."

The fielding of NHWS in Japan will be complete in the fourth quarter of 2008 and include 20,000 Japanese consumers. Its fielding follows the mid-year fielding of the USA and European National Health and Wellness Surveys to add more than 136,000 new patients into the NHWS database in 2008. This commitment to the growth of the National Health and Wellness Survey database will continue with the fielding of NHWS China in June 2009.
