Lietuvos Energija AB credit rating for borrowings in foreign currency

On 28 October 2008, the International Credit Rating Agency  Standard & Poor's,
on the grounds of the decreased credit rating of the Republic of Lithuania,
respectively downgraded the corporate long-term credit rating of Lietuvos
Energija AB  for borrowings in foreign currency from A- to BBB+,  although the
rating outlook was left unchanged, i.e. the on-watch negative. In order to
resolve the credit watch placement, the credit rating agency has to analyze the
overall financial credit strength of LEO LT, AB group.
