Cool Tom The Answer Cat was written to help children and adults alike to learn to overcome their daily fears. As the story begins, readers will meet Cool Tom, a special cat who loves to learn. Since he was a kitten, he enjoyed being around people and often visit those who treated him nicely. Sometimes Cool Tom listens to people talking about things that disturbed or frightened them, and he knew that they were trying to find answers to end their fear. One night, Cool Tom looked up at the moon and made a wish: that he could talk like humans and be able to help all boys and girls feel alright.
Soon enough, his wish came true and starts the next day by climbing up a tree and stretch out on a ledge, just outside a window. Inside, a class is going on and Cool Tom starts listening to all the lectures the teacher is giving to her students. After several days of learning, a hard rain forces him to enter the classroom and reveal himself to the class. To his surprise, they treat him nicely and in return he surprises them by talking like them. About the Authors
Although Vicki Minnick died in 2002, her desire to help children lives on in this series of books. Vicki was an elementary school teacher for more than thirty years. She also was a creative artist, specializing in painting and jewelry-design. Vicki was a naturalist, zoologist, herpetotolgist, and wildlife rehabilitator. She raised and released more than ten thousand animals and birds back to the wild. She also established a teaching and child-friendly pet shop where children could interact with domestic and exotic animals, birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians, and insects.
Bill Minnick, is a State-Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and has numerous licenses or certifications in Hypnosis, Addictions Counseling, Forensic Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Domestic Violence, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and Education. Bill uses his skills in this series of books to help teach children the skills solve problems in creative and effective ways. Minnick also is an internationally-known animal expert and spent years as a professional musician and entertainer.
