In conformity to sec. 21 para. 1 WpHG (German Securities Trading Act),
Artio Global Management LLC (formerly Julius Bear Investment Management
LLC), New York, USA, announced on 3 November 2008 that their voting shares
in Deutsche Beteiligungs AG, Frankfurt am Main, Germany, crossed below the
threshold of 3 % on 30 October 2008 and amounted to 2.82 % (equivalent to
385,068 voting rights).

These voting rights are entirely attributable to Artio Global Management
LLC pursuant to sec. 22 para. 1 sentence 1 no. 6 WpHG.

In conformity to sec. 21 para. 1 WpHG, Artio Global Holdings LLC, New York,
USA, announced on 3 November 2008 that their voting shares in Deutsche
Beteiligungs AG, Frankfurt am Main, Germany, crossed below the threshold of
3 % on 30 October 2008 and amounted to 2.82 % (equivalent to 385,068 voting
rights).

These voting rights are entirely attributable to Artio Global Holdings
LLC pursuant to sec. 22 para. 1 sentence 1 no. 6 WpHG in connection with
sec. 22 para. 1 sentence 2 WpHG.

In conformity to sec. 21 para. 1 WpHG, Artio Global Investors Inc.
(formerly Julius Baer Americas Inc.), New York, USA, announced on 3
November 2008 that their voting shares in Deutsche Beteiligungs AG,
Frankfurt am Main, Germany, crossed below the threshold of 3 % on 30
October 2008 and amounted to 2.82 % (equivalent to 385,068 voting rights).

These voting rights are entirely attributable to Artio Global Investors
Inc. pursuant to sec. 22 para. 1 sentence 1 no. 6 WpHG in connection with
sec. 22 para. 1 sentence 2 WpHG.

In conformity to sec. 21 para. 1 WpHG, Julius Bär Holding AG, Zürich,
Schweiz, announced on 3 November 2008 that their voting shares in Deutsche
Beteiligungs AG, Frankfurt am Main, Germany, crossed below the threshold of
3 % on 30 October 2008 and amounted to 2.86 % (equivalent to 390,908 voting
rights).

These voting rights are entirely attributable to Artio Global Management
LLC pursuant to sec. 22 para. 1 sentence 1 no. 6 WpHG in connection with
sec. 22 para. 1 sentence 2 WpHG.
