The power situation in Norway as of 5 November

Nord Pool has received the following information from the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE):     

Higher prices and increased Norwegian power production 
After three weeks of decreasing prices there was an upturn in the power prices in week 44. Colder weather gave increased power consumption resulting in higher power prices. Southern Norway had the most significant price increase, up 2 øre/kWh from the preceding week, reducing the price gap between the Norwegian elspot areas. 

The power production in Norway was 3,038 GWh in week 44, up 387 GWh from the week before. In Southern Norway the increase was 337 GWh. The inflow to the Norwegian reservoirs decreased by 0.9 percentage points during week 44, reaching 84.8 percent at the end of the week.
