Redemption is the Key to End This Galactic War -- New Book Marks the Continuation of Author R.S. Koehler's Science Fiction Saga

GROVE CITY, Ohio, Nov. 6, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- When war escalates, the point of no return becomes inevitable and peace becomes an impossibility. What will it take to end a destructive conflict and bring stability to the galaxy? Find out in a science fiction war story imagined by author R.S. Koehler as Xlibris releases the newest entry of his epic five-part series, Starship Captain Part II: Redemption.

Picking up where Part I: Rejection ended, Redemption follows the struggles of Captain Will Storr who becomes concerned with what happened to his former fiancee, Princess Pe'tella, instead of dealing with his own problems of facing a possible full court martial. Max, Storr's J.A.G. defense council, tells Storr he can probably get him off with a demotion in rank and the loss of his starship command. The starship captain is satisfied with those conditions in avoiding a full court martial as long as he can still get into the war with the Alcyoneans. Max has a contact on Alcyone and is asked by Storr if he can find out if Pe'tella is dead or alive since the city she lived in was destroyed by Ambassador Hennings. As the chapters proceed, readers will learn more about the Orions and the Caribs, as well as the development of events such as how Major Nelson became Ambassador Victor Hennings. Aside from that, the war between the Star Union forces and the Alcyoneans escalates giving Storr little time left to convince the Alcyoneans and Arcturians that all three races face the slavers whip and cannibalistic teeth in the genre of Satin, better known as Mesh-a-Tare. A climactic ending awaits readers.

About the Author

R.S. Koehler was born and raised in rural southeastern Ohio. He grew up loving Science Fiction, History and the Bible. His college degrees for the latter two testify of this love. Though a Christian, he avoids being preachy in his Starship Captain series, yet he gets his Judeo-Christian message of hope and redemption across in a most indirect manner. Fellow Christians may argue that his writings are not Christian like. However, in order to make his characters as real and as believable as possible, he had to take some secular liberties.
