Comment on information about JSC „Ditton pievadķēžu rūpnīca” published on 12.11.2008 in the newspaper “Dienas Bizness”

In connection with the abovementioned publication the Council and the
Management Board of the company want to give the following statement: 
JSC „Ditton pievadķēžu rūpnīca” has not provided any information about the
situation in the company to the newspaper “Dienas Bizness”, neither it has
provided any official information to the sources to which the newspaper refers. 

Besides, on 10.11.2008 in similar way basing not on the official information
obtained from the company but from other sources the news agency LETA has
published information of similar content about which the company has disclosed
its comment. 

The company notes that time and again it faces the situation when in mass media
there is information published which comes from unaccredited sources or third
persons and very often it is untrue or disguises truth. Therefore the Council
and the Management Board consider it inexpedient to analyze every time in
detail and 
comment the personal opinion of representatives of mass media and their
sources, simultaneously considering that everyone of them the right on personal
vision and evaluation of the company. Therefore for having objective
information about the company depositors and investors are invited to guide
themselves by official information which is published by the company on the
website of Riga Stock Exchange and in the ORICGS system of the Financial and
Capital Market Commission, or obtain it directly from the company. In addition
to that commenting of personal opinions expressed in public is irrational and
unnecessary. 

The Council and the Management Board is informing depositors and investors that
all relevant indices, including number of employees, based on the results of 9
months of 2008 will be published on the abovementioned websites on November 28,
2008 after their approval by the Council and the Management Board in legal
terms. The Council and the Management Board is drawing attention of depositors
and investors to that that besides theses indices the financial statement of
the company contain also analysis of market, risks and tendencies of
development prospects and production development from the point of view of the
JSC „Ditton pievadķēžu rūpnīca”. The company does not regard it as necessary
and reasonable to analyse and comment opinion and arguments of the third
persons.
