WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Nov. 12, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Fans purchasing tickets for Eagles' upcoming tour dates will have the opportunity to purchase tickets, via Ticketmaster, without any add-on fees. The ticket on-sales for the January 12 concert in Hampton, Va., January 14 in Charlotte, N.C., January 16 in North Charleston, S.C., the January 17 concert in Greensboro, N.C., January 19 in Greenville, S.C., January 23 in New Orleans, and January 24 in Birmingham, Ala., will be sold without Ticketmaster convenience fees. Eagles' ticket buyers using Ticketmaster's convenient print-at-home TicketFast(r) option will have the added benefit of no added delivery or handling fees. Ticketmaster is a Ticketmaster Entertainment, Inc., (Nasdaq:TKTM) company.

This represents a collaborative effort by both the Eagles and Ticketmaster to provide the best consumer value and streamline the ticket-buying process. All future ticket on-sales for the winter leg of the Eagles' Long Road Out of Eden U.S. tour are planned to be "convenience fee" free.

On October 30, long-time Eagles' manager Irving Azoff assumed the post of chief executive officer of Ticketmaster Entertainment, Inc., and pledged that the company would allow artists to have greater control of their fans' ticket-buying experience. He commented, "The Eagles have long been committed to giving their loyal fans the best concert-going experience. The Eagles use of 'all-in ticketing' is the first step in Ticketmaster's transformation to an all-encompassing entertainment company to allow artists to connect to their fans in both new and innovative ways."

"Ticketmaster is testing this program and is consulting with all our clients in the hope of rolling out the 'all-in ticketing' program for events nationwide," said Sean Moriarty, Ticketmaster chief executive officer. "We are honored that the Eagles are the first to kick off this unprecedented fan-friendly Ticketmaster program."
