ARQUES adjusts outlook 2008 to reflect changed circumstances

- Consolidated revenues of more than EUR 5 billion, EBITDA of at least EUR
100 million projected

- Operating cash flow increased by EUR 137.5 million in nine months period

- Current financial liabilities reduced by EUR 85.8 million to EUR 171.8
million

Starnberg, November 17, 2008 - The Starnberg-based holding company ARQUES
Industries AG (ISIN DE0005156004) has adjusted its outlook for 2008 as a
whole to reflect the rapidly deteriorating economic situation. The
corporate group now expects its earnings before income, taxes, depreciation
and amortization (EBITDA) to reach at least EUR 100 million, before it
targeted EUR 200 million. Consolidated revenues are expected to be more
than EUR 5 billion.

The adjustment to the profit guidance reflects the weaker development due
to the macroeconomic situation. In addition, ARQUES was forced in the third
quarter to recognize impairment losses in a total amount of EUR 51.0
million on its holding in automotive supplier Eurostyle. The pre-tax and
post-tax result in 2008 will show a significant loss due to these effects.

Focus on increasing cash flow and reducing debt through the rest of the
year

As already happened in the third quarter, ARQUES will again focus in the
last quarter of the year on enhancing its balance sheet structure and cash
flow. Free cash flow could be improved by further EUR 18.2 million to EUR
57.2 million in the third quarter. Current financial liabilities have been
reduced by EUR 85.8 million compared to December 31, 2007. For the fourth
quarter the management expects a further positive development in free cash
flow.
