About the Author

Helen Lewison was born in Waco, Texas. Years later, she moved to San Francisco, where a new world opened to her -- North Beach, poetry readings, coffee houses, and a flotsam and jetsam of wannabe artists and writers. Life became a colorful canopy she has never envisioned before. But this too ended and another life began -- marriage and the responsibilities associated with marriage -- which is still beautiful and colorful, even if not as stimulating to the younger fringe beatnik who lives in the enchanted world of San Francisco's North Beach. After her husband died, she began writing books, one after the other. Five books later, she is still writing and has a website: www.helenlewison.com.
