A Cry for Rectification -- Guyanese History is Not as It Seems, New Book Insists

UNIONDALE, N.Y., Nov. 25, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- William Gregory Smith's manuscript about his beleaguered life, Assassination Cry of a Failed Revolution, is finally launched, fulfilling his wish and his sister's promise and aim to prove his innocence. The book seeks to rectify the anomalies surrounding Smith's association with Dr. Walter Rodney, a political figure in Guyanese history.

Dr. Rodney was a leader of the major political organization, Working People Alliance (WPA), who impressed Smith into joining the party. As it turned out, Rodney required Smith's exceptional ability with electronics, as well as the advantages of his current employment connections, to fulfill his revolutionary plans. Smith's assignment, as a member, eventually brought him deeper into the political heart of party and into plans that made him increasingly uneasy as to the effects of his contributions.

The developments of this volatile function in the WPA and his highly hazardous last assignment eventually led to Smith's lifetime persecution and harassment by party members, as well as the erroneously publicized blame on Dr. Rodney's ensuing death. Smith was compelled to compile the original manuscript with the intention of rectifying his now brutally assassinated reputation. Finally, this intention came to fulfillment by this book's publication.

All throughout Smith's lamentable life experience, Anne R. Wagner was privy to everything: his emotions, the facts and the various forms of attacks launched out on him. Clearing out her brother's and her family's name, was Wagner's promise to Smith, and this promise she has now brought to fruition. From the beginning to the end, Assassination Cry of a Failed Revolution provides the testament to the completely bendable backbone of history, an indelible image of revolutions and covert scheming. The book is a very compelling page-turner. To get all the details on William Gregory Smith's story, log on to www.Xlibris.com.
