HOUSTON, Nov. 25, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- HCC Insurance Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:HCC) announced today that Pamela J. Penny, Senior Vice President-Finance, has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of the Company.
"As Chief Accounting Officer, Pam Penny will have complete responsibility for the preparation of HCC's financial statements including signatory responsibility for the Company's quarterly reports on Form 10-Q and annual report on Form 10-K. Ms. Penny has served as Senior Vice President-Finance since joining the Company in 2004. Before that, she held senior financial management positions in several companies, including Aegis Mortgage Corporation, American International Group and American General Corporation. Previously, she was an audit partner with KPMG LLP. Ms. Penny holds a B.B.A. degree from the College of William and Mary and is a Certified Public Accountant.
