FP Group Introduces Longer Working Hours from December 1, 2008

- Return to 38-hour Week
- Adjustments to Individual Working Hours
- New Working Hours Underpin the FP Group's Realignment

Birkenwerder, November 27, 2008. Francotyp-Postalia GmbH, a subsidiary of
Francotyp-Postalia Holding AG, is adjusting its weekly working hours to
match the German average. As from 1st December 2008, employees will work a
full 38-hours week, instead of the previous 35-hours. No adjustments to pay
will be made. 'Increasing working hours is a further important step to
prepare the FP Group for the challenges of the coming years in a weaker
economy, ' explained CEO Dr. Heinz-Dieter Sluma. 'This is essential so that
Birkenwerder can keep pace with global competition among production sites
in what is an ever tougher international market.'

As a result of the longer working hours, the Company will be adjusting
existing personnel capacity in some departments. At the same time, the
Company has gone to great lengths to avoid terminating contracts, despite
the tougher operating environment. Rather that cutting back on the
headcount, it has decided to make adjustments to individual working hours.
As Dr Sluma put it, 'The extensive restructuring of the FP Group in 2008
would not have been possible without the cooperation of all our employees.
Despite the constraints we currently face, we want to offer all members of
the FP Team a perspective for 2009 and beyond. However, this cannot be made
at the risk of undermining the profitability of the FP Group.' The new
working hours are currently being checked for compliance with German labour
laws. The FP Group sees these new measures as a means of stabilizing
personnel costs while further improving its competitive ability.
