Release of a Voting Rights announcement

On December 4, 2008, Credit Suisse Group, Zurich, Switzerland, notified us
in accordance with sec. 21 para. 1 and sec. 24 of the WpHG in its own name
and in the name and on behalf of the following companies that:

1. The Voting Rights held by Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited,
London, United Kingdom, on Praktiker Bau- und Heimwerkermärkte Holding AG,
Kirkel, Germany, ISIN: DE000A0F6MD5, WKN: A0F6MD, have exceeded the 3 %
limit of the Voting Rights on November 27, 2008, and on that day amount to
3,83 % (this corresponds to 2,221,733 Voting Rights).

2. As a result of the aforementioned exceeding of the 3 % limit by Credit
Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited, London, United Kingdom, the Voting
Rights held by its affiliated companies, Credit Suisse (International)
Holding AG, Zug, Switzerland, Credit Suisse Investments (UK), London,
United Kingdom, and Credit Suisse Investment Holdings (UK), London, United
Kingdom, on Praktiker Bau- und Heimwerkermärkte Holding AG, Kirkel,
Germany, ISIN: DE000A0F6MD5, WKN: A0F6MD, have exceeded the 3 % limit of
the Voting Rights on November 27, 2008, and on that day amount to 3,83 %
(this corresponds to 2,221,733 Voting Rights). According to sec. 22 para. 1
sent. 1 No. 1 of the WpHG all of these Voting Rights are attributable to
the companies mentioned in this section.

3. The Voting Rights of Credit Suisse, Zurich, Switzerland, and Credit
Suisse Group, Zurich, Switzerland, on Praktiker Bau- und Heimwerkermärkte
Holding AG, Kirkel, Germany, ISIN: DE000A0F6MD5, WKN: A0F6MD, have exceeded
the 3 % limit of the Voting Rights on November 27, 2008, and on that day
amount to 3,83 % (this corresponds to 2,221,733 Voting Rights). According
to sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 1 No. 1 of the WpHG all of these Voting Rights are
attributable to the companies mentioned in this section.

4. The chain of controlling companies is as follows (beginning with the
most minor company): Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited, Credit
Suisse Investment Holdings (UK), Credit Suisse Investments (UK), Credit
Suisse (International) Holding AG, Credit Suisse and Credit Suisse Group.
