NCC receives order from LKAB totaling SEK 1,200 million

NCC Construction Sweden has been commissioned by LKAB to conduct mining and
raise drilling operations at the new main level in Kiruna. The order value is
estimated at approximately SEK 1,200 million.

The assignment pertains to mining at the “central plant,” which forms the heart
of the new main level, the KUJ 1365. The number 1365 represents the number of
meters below ground measured from the old mountain peak.

The order covers approximately 21 kilometers of drift mining, skip shafts,
loading chutes, crushing chutes and pumping stations, as well as raise drilling
of approximately 25,000 meters of shafts.

- It's very gratifying to be continuing our long-term cooperation with LKAB,
says Thomas Stenvall of the Heavy Industries Department at NCC.

The work will commence immediately and is scheduled for completion in 2011,
except for the raise drilling operations, which are expected to be completed in
2013. The project will employ a total of about 100 people.

The order will be registered in the fourth quarter of 2008.
