3D Systems' Latest AF Solutions Get Noticed At EuroMold 2008

Demonstrations of Its Next-Generation Additive Fabrication Solutions Attract Thousands in Attendance

ROCK HILL, S.C., Dec. 4, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- 3D Systems Corporation (Nasdaq:TDSC), a leading provider of 3-D Printing, Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing solutions, announced today that its next-generation Additive Fabrication technologies live exhibit attracted thousands of attendees at EuroMold 2008 this week in Frankfurt, Germany.

During the opening day of EuroMold, 3D Systems unveiled and successfully demonstrated for the first time its next-generation, high-speed sintering system, the sPro 230(tm) SLS(r) Center, that builds tough, durable parts up to 30 inches long at twice the speed of conventional SLS(r) Systems. The company expects to begin taking orders for its new family of high-speed sPro(tm) Centers at EuroMold for delivery during the first quarter of 2009.

EuroMold attendees were the first to see in operation the ProJet(tm) 5000 3-D Production System, 3D Systems' new generation, larger format 3-D Printer that delivers high-definition parts from a variety of plastic and wax materials that can be configured and selected interchangeably. This system utilizes 3D Systems' patented and proprietary Multi-Jet Modeling (MJM) technology with features that include versatile build resolutions to fit all applications, remote diagnostics for easy serviceability, and a wide-range of interchangeable plastic and wax material options. As previously announced during its World Conference in October, 3D Systems plans to commercialize this system in 2009.

3D Systems also demonstrated its new iPro(tm) 8000 SLA(r) Center at EuroMold 2008. This high-productivity, mid-range system offers all the performance attributes and benefits of its latest Stereolithography technology in a smaller format and compact footprint. The iPro(tm) 8000 SLA(r) Center quickly and economically builds small and large parts with unprecedented surface smoothness, feature resolution, edge definition and tolerances that rival the accuracy of CNC-machined parts. More information on the iPro(tm) SLA(r) Centers is available at www.3dsystems.com/ipro.

EuroMold attendees got to interact with 3D Systems' recently commercialized ProJet(tm) CP and CPX RealWax(tm) 3-D Printers. These production systems produce high-definition wax patterns for direct investment casting. 3D Systems started shipping the ProJet(tm) CP and CPX Printers during the fourth quarter of this year.

4D Concepts, a 3-D Printing service bureau and 3D Systems' reseller in Germany, is exhibiting the ProJet(tm) CPX RealWax(tm) 3-D Printer at EuroMold 2008.

"We are excited to own and showcase the first time ProJet(tm) CPX 3-D Printer in Europe -- a RealWax(tm) production system that is ideal for casting applications and a nice addition to our RP/RM system offerings," said Rainer Neumann, President of 4D Concepts. "During the first day of EuroMold 2008, we received numerous inquiries for printers and parts from a wide range of industries. We look forward to bringing this revolutionary printer to the European market." More information on the ProJet(tm) CPX is available at www.3dsystems.com/3dm.

During EuroMold's first day, thousands of attendees got to see 3D Systems' long-awaited V-Flash(r) FTI 230 Desktop Modeler in full operation. V-Flash(r) is a fast, simple, compact and cost-effective 3-D Modeler that is in advanced marketplace evaluation stages.

Visitors to the 3D Systems' exhibit sampled several breakthrough engineered materials from each of its product lines, including:

 * Its just-announced VisiJet(r) EX 200 Plastic for higher strength 3-D
   Printing;
 * Accura(r) ClearVue(tm) SLA(r) Plastic for virtually transparent parts;
   and
 * A new, tough DuraForm(r) PP 100 Plastic for Sintering -- the
   industry's first polypropylene material.

EuroMold 2008 runs through Saturday, December 6, 2008. 3D Systems' booth is located in Hall 8.0, Stand G154. Commentary, photos and videos are available at 3D Systems' "Live @ EuroMold" webpage at www.3dsystems.com/euromold.
