PA RESOURCES: PA RESOURCES STRENGTHENS THE GROUP MANAGEMENT TEAM
PA Resources is strengthening its organisation with two new Managing Directors for the subsidiaries in United Kingdom and the Republic of Congo. This is part of the further development of a competent and efficient organisation with focus on the three geographical regions North Sea, North Africa and West Africa.
The oil- and gas group PA Resources now takes another step in the building of a competent and cost-efficient organisation. The target is to have strong organisations in the three geographical areas North Sea, North Africa and West Africa. In order to achieve this, the Group has now employed two new Managing Directors for the subsidiaries in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Congo.

Hans Ryckborst commenced his duties as Managing Director for PA Resources Congo the 15th of October 2008. He is 66 years old and has a long experience from work as Reservoir Engineer in Canada and Gabon during the seventies and sixties. After that he has had positions as Managing Director in both private and listed oil company groups as Bowleven (GGPC), Tullow Oil, ATP Oil & Gas and Vanco Energy, where he, for example, has been responsible for building new country offices in Gabon and the Netherlands etc. Hans Ryckborst's latest employment was as Managing Director at the oil company GGPC Limited Gabon. He has also worked as special advisor to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank and the Government in Gabon.

Graham Goffey will commence his duties as Managing Director of PA Resources UK in January 2009. He is 44 years old and has more than 20 years exploration and management experience at different positions in international oil groups, including Conoco, LASMO and Paladin Resources. Graham Goffey was General Manager for Paladin Resources' international business unit, with production and exploration activities in five countries. His latest position was as Exploration Manager at Sterling Energy where he was responsible for exploration and new ventures in Africa and Middle East.

In addition to these new recruitments, PA Resources has finalised its strengthening of the Tunisian organisation that started in November 2007 by the recruitment of Mohamed Messaoudi as Managing Director for PA Resources in Tunisia. Mohamed Messaoudi is 56 years old and has over 25 years of international experience in the oil industry. He has had leading positions in oil companies as Storm Ventures, Nexen, MBC Consulting, Elf and Shell. Before he joined PA Resources, he was employed as Vice President New Ventures at Storm Ventures International. He has also worked 14 years at leading positions within Shell in Tunisia, Oman, The Netherlands, Gabon and Nigeria.

Mohamed Messaoudi had the task to continue the building of a competent and strong organisation in Tunisia. As a result of this, the company has employed an Exploration director, a Petroleum Engineering Director, a Drilling Director, an Operations Director, Offshore Installation Managers and Geophysical Supervisor among others during 2008.

- We are striving to build self-governing local organisations based on high competence and experience, both from the oil industry and the specific region. The Managing Directors for our subsidiaries play a very important part in this and must have great skills in leadership and management, as well as experience from leading positions in both international and local oil companies. We are therefore very glad to be able to welcome our new colleagues to PA Resources, says Ulrik Jansson, President and CEO at PA Resources.

Hans Ryckborst, Graham Goffey and Mohamed Messaoudi are forming the Group Management Team together with the Executive Management Team of PA Resources.
