Gain a Prosperous Future With Chairman Mao's Business School -- New Book Turns Mao's Thoughts Into Important Guidelines About Business Management

OSLO, Norway, Dec. 10, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- It all began during a visit to China in the mid-1990s when author Lars Kleivan got hold of Chairman Mao's Little Red Book. He was struck by the content of the book as a guide for modern managers. Thus, he has incorporated a number of the quotations in his book Chairman Mao's Business School.

Mao Zedong is undeniably one of the most important figures in modern world history. In fact, decades after his death, he is still a controversial figure who is generally highly regarded in China. Not only was he a revolutionary with grand political goals and visions, he also had a brilliant insight into the areas of organizational and management science. Business managers who are successful are often small or large revolutionaries themselves. By running their shops in a controlled way, they can apply the principles of Chairman Mao's Business School.

The book combines Chairman Mao's thoughts with the author's own education and comprehensive business experience, the experience of other western businessmen and -women, the practice of leading western companies and his passionate belief in Control, Profitability and Growth as a basic prerequisite for long-term success of modern organizations in the private as well as public sector. Chairman Mao and Kleivan's thoughts that are presented in this book serve as an excellent guide for all levels of management, public servants, trade union leaders and even politicians with reference to the way modern business organizations are managed on a daily basis.

The idea of the book is to adapt the quotations of The Little Red Book to today's business world by f. ex. changing words like soldiers, generals, masses, cadres, enemies etc. to employees, managers, presidents, markets, customers etc. Chairman Mao's Business School takes Mao's quotations -- which were meant to be used during the Cultural Revolution -- and applies them in a totally different setting. As a result, the book gives you an overview of some basics that are extremely important when you manage a company or any organization. Go with this informative and useful guide from today's situation to a prosperous future where your company can become an attractive proposition for your customers, your employees, your partners and your owners.
